Visit To Kochi (Continued....)

As I said in my last post that I’ll be sharing my experience on my stay in Kochi so here I am, I visited my brothers place in Panampilly Nagar Ernakulam one of the posh localities in town, as the plan was for 4-5 days only because of my final post-graduation examinations was approaching & due for non-availability of reservations on trains my stay shifted to more than a week. So I confirmed a ticket for 10 days later.

Kochi Night Life

The climate of Kochi is pretty much hot & humid. Temperatures range there between 30°C and 35°C during daytime and around 24°C during night. Kochi is one of the first places to experience the heavy Monsoon showers starting by mid of May as my visit was in the end of May so I was expecting some first showers of monsoon. Though temperatures never touch 40°C, the presence of high humidity can make summers very harsh.

Most of my time was spend with my niece ZENI, playing with kids surely reminded me of the past when we use to play whole day & no one was there to stop us. During evening when the climate is a bit bearable we use to set on the bike-ride of whole of Kochi with my brother. Kochi is definitely one of the beautiful places I have visited my whole life the scenic beauty of the island is a must watch at night the places with places like Kochi Shipyard, Santacruz Basilica, Jew Street and Paradesi Synagogue, St. Francis CSI Church etc, the same schedule was followed the whole week & I was enjoying that at the end of weekend I visited the Naval Base & Fort Kochi beach lately in the evening which was good experience as I have visited a beach after a long time.

Hill Palace Museum
Next day I visited the Hill Palace Muesum, the erstwhile Kochi Maharaja's palace, now converted to a large museum along with a small zoo. Has paintings and epigraphy from the collections of the Travancore & Kochi royal families. This is the largest archaeological palace in South India with more than 500 artifacts divided into 16 galleries after which I visited Fort Kochi Beach as I missed the main attraction of the beach the other day “Sunset”. I’ll always cherish that evening with the sunset that was an amazing experience.

Sunset At Fort Kochi

After that I was there for a couple of days, last few of my stay I enjoyed the beautiful rain as Kochi was hit by monsoon & the rain continued till the time I was there and was to be continued a couple of days afterwards. After spending some quality time with my family. I set of my journey back to Bangalore & this time by Train at evening around 5pm & reached back at 4am. This was the end of some of moments which I’ll sure cherish my whole life.
